The US and Israel have done everything they can to ensure that the 2-state solution is not possible. US/Israel promoted and funded Hammas in the first place to drive a wedge between Gaza and the West Bank and between the secular and islamist strands of Palestinian resistance. The 1-state solution (that you ridicule), don't forget, is the default non-racist democratic minimum of any society that's considered a democracy. Israel fails that definition currently. Israeli Jews will only live in peace when they can live in the neighbourhood with justice and equality with Palestinian neighbours. It's the minimum required in most nations on earth.
