I stand proudly with those who fought the Blackshirts, the Nazis, the fascists, Franco, the NF, BNP, EDL … and all those people coming together to fight for liberty, democracy and solidarity were anti-fascists. All of them. If you fought Hitler you were anti-fascist. It’s not an organisation, or a tactic, it’s what all decent people should be. Fascists are the enemy of democracy, I oppose them whoever and wherever they are.

Right now Black lives matter. Their actual lives are on the line every day, from racist and fascist police, egged on and emboldened by an authoritarian, narcissistic, pathological, racist, sexist, nativist, white supremacist, paranoid, increasingly demented President. They need our support right now. We need to rally round to save their lives against fascist attack.

We will know we have won when no African American mother has to teach her son or daughter to be scared of the police, for their own sake, to keep their children alive. Children. Alive.

"Antifa" is not an organisation, any more than "socialist" is. It’s deliberately, intentionally vague to define lots of people with no need to have to go to the trouble of proving that they…
